"Our 17th Year of Serving The Lord with Gladness and Holding to His Promises"

Deacon Cornelius Ramsey

Chairman

Deacon Board

The Deacon Board of Restoration Fellowship Center currently consists of four members Deacons Cornelius Ramsey, Michael Collins, Lou Mann, and J. W. Wilson.   We strive to meet the characteristics spelled out in 1 Timothy 3: 8-13. (8Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; 9Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.  10And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.  11Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.  12Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.  13For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.)

Mission Statement

As the first deacons were called to serve according to the sixth chapter of Acts, we are called to serve because of the example of Jesus Christ and the leadership of the Holy Spirit in our lives.  The Deacon board exists to help the congregation with their needs including the sick, friendless, hungry, and hurting within the church community. We provide for the needs of others in the form of prayer, meals, cards, visitation and guidance. We are the pastor’s assistants. Finally, as our Lord and Savior gave himself as the supreme sacrifice for all, we are called to remember this through assisting in the administering of the sacrament of Holy Communion.
